Welcome to StatusHD ("we," "our," or "us"). StatusHD is a mobile application developed to help users optimize photo and video media prior to posting them on WhatsApp Status, WhatsApp Business, and other social channels.

We take your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to transparency regarding what information is collected, how your media is processed, and your rights when using the StatusHD application on iOS and Android devices.

2. Information We Collect

StatusHD is engineered with a strict privacy-first model. We do not require account registration, email addresses, phone numbers, or social media logins to use the application.

• User-Selected Media: Photos and videos you explicitly select from your gallery for optimization.
• Device Diagnostic Data: Non-personally identifiable technical information (e.g., OS version, device model, screen resolution) used solely to ensure stable local encoding hardware compatibility.
• App Usage Metrics: Aggregated anonymous event metrics (e.g., feature taps, total media processed counter) to improve performance.

3. Media Processing & Local Engine

All image and video optimization algorithms (including resolution scaling, bitrate adjustment, color space preservation, and frame rate smoothing) execute locally on your mobile device using native system libraries.

• Your photos and videos are NEVER uploaded to external servers or cloud storage.
• We do not possess, store, view, or sell any of your media contents.
• Temporary cache files generated during the optimization step are automatically deleted immediately after completion or upon closing the app.

4. App Device Permissions

To function properly, StatusHD requests permission to access specific features on your smartphone. You may revoke these permissions at any time via your device settings.

5. Data Storage & Retention

Because StatusHD operates entirely offline for media processing, we do not maintain user databases or cloud storage repositories containing personal data.

• What is stored: Local preference settings (such as default quality selection, dark mode toggles) saved strictly on your local device storage.
• What is NOT stored: Photos, videos, metadata (EXIF/GPS tags), user identities, or contact lists.

6. Third-Party Services & SDKs

StatusHD may integrate privacy-preserving third-party SDKs for application stability and analytics. These providers adhere to strict data privacy regulations:

• Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics / Sentry): Collects anonymous stack traces when an app crash occurs to help developers patch bugs.
• Anonymous Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase): Tracks aggregated usage statistics without identifying individual users.
• Advertising (Optional Future Frameworks): If non-intrusive ads are introduced in future releases, privacy-compliant ad frameworks (e.g. Google AdMob) will honor user tracking preferences (App Tracking Transparency).

7. Children's Privacy

StatusHD does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). Our service is not directed at children.
